Request: signal coverage for 70,000 sqm Parking Lot
The Xinghe Dandi area covers an area of 1.5 million sqm and the construction area is about 2.6 million sqm. This area is divided into 5 parts and 10 communities, and they are located in the west side of Yagongding Forest Park. This project is to provide signal coverage solution for two parking lots, one is 20,000 sqm in the North, and the other one is 50,000 in the South.
There is only a one-floor parking lot in the north area, which was divided into 3 areas (A, B ,C) with an area of around 20,000 sqm, 800 parking spaces. Signal could be tested at the entrance/exit of the parking lot, but no any signal in the parking lot. Therefore, providing mobile signal in the parking lot is the most urgent service.
There is also only one-floor parking lot in the south area, divided into 5 areas with over 2000 parking spaces. Besides, there are more residents in south area, so having a signal coverage is pressing.
The requests of this project is to cover all network of signal providers, it’s calling + 4G data of China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom.
Based on this request, our company (Shenzhen ATNJ Communication Technology Co Ltd) adopted our Powerful Ultra-wideband Distributed Antenna System (UDAS) as the bid proposal of this project.
Here we have a brief introduction of UDAS as follows,
1.1 UDAS Introduction
UDAS: Powerful Ultra-wideband Distributed Antenna System, is also named as Pull far Distributed Antenna System. The features of PDAS is to use fiber optic cable to connect MU (Main Unit) and RU (Remote Unit), which could meet the demands of long-distant signal transmission (single band frequency transmission distance: 20-120kms, multi-band frequency transmission distance: 2-5kms)
UDAS can better solve the problem of signal attenuation during transmission, and is suitable for large area signal distribution system solutions; the double amplification enhancement of MU & RU is an effective guarantee to amplify weak signals, and it could ensure the full output power signal of each RU, so that the coverage area and the coverage effect are of high quality.
1.2 Device Introduction
The equipped devices are high-power five band repeater, it supports frequencies as follows,
Due to the double amplification of MU and RU, the gain could reach 105dbm. The full output power of RU devices could reach 27dbm, and each RU could connect with 15 to 20 indoor antennas to cover 5000 to 10000 sqm.
1.3 Distribution Introduction
There is a topology picture of a typical One-Take-Four system as follows. Based on the actual site needs, we could also use One-Take-Eight system and use flexible indoor antennas combo. The underground parking lot is an open and enclosed area, using antennas combo with ceiling antenna, LPDA antenna and panel antenna could meet the demands of indoor signal distribution system with lowest materials.
1.4 Solution Advantages
⑴ Solved the signal problems of China Mobile, Unicom, Telecom.
It supports 2G+4G signal of Mobile:GSM900M, DCS1800M, FDD LTE1800M and TDD-LTE2600M,
2G+3G+4G signal of Unicom: GSM900M, DCS1800M, WCDMA2100M and FDD-LTE1800M,
2G+3G+4G signal of Telecom: CDMA800M and FDD-LTE1800M.
⑵ Using fiber cable to transmit signal between MU and RU, it would decrease well the signal attenuation, and meet the demands of distant and big coverage,
⑶ The gain is high to 105dbi, which makes up the weak signal sources issue.
⑷ The full output power is high to 27dbm/1W, which could support 15 to 20 indoor antennas to cover 5000 to 10000 sqm.
2.1 Site Survey
Except the analysis to the layout, we need to have accurate project information like: signal source, zoning, and cable tray. Signal frequency and strength could be tested as follows in out of South area and North area.
The signal frequency and strength could match and meet the demands of our repeater.
After the site survey to the cable tray and equipment room in parking lot, we collected the information of surrounding of parking lot, AMR demands of each equipment room, positions of Property management office, monitoring room, elevator room to design the exact wiring and topology pictures.
2.2 Solution Design
Based on the above data, the solution designed as follows, Use One-Take-Three UDAS in North area with one MU and three RUs. Each RU covers each small area. And C is much opener and squarer, so there would be one channel from RU in C to cover the east side in A.
Use One-Take-Five UDAS in South area with one MU and five RUs. Each RU covers each small area including equipment room, property management office, monitoring room and elevator room.
With this solution with best-price repeater, easiest wiring and construction and the shortest construction time, we won the rely of our client, and succeeded in biding.
3. Project Construction
There are three parts for construction: wiring construction, PDAS construction, device debugging. The timetable as follows,
The construction process is fully implemented in accordance with construction company’s construction standards. All the cables are installed into the cable tray, and the exposed cables are protected and beautified by bushings.
The previous cables wired by the property management office are all removed and replaced by UDAS. After a two-week construction, we finished the UDAS construction on two parking lots with 70,000sqm.
4. Signal Test
After plug in, the RU could have a full output power.
Verify the signal strength in some specified position of South/North area as follows, all are excellent signal.
5. Project summary
UDAS with five band device is the optimal solution for large-area, long-distance signal coverage. Whether it is parking lot, real estate, property, park lot, or even tunnel construction, by using our UDAS, people could achieve all network calling and data signal coverage with lowest price and easiest construction.
Flexible combo of MU&RU with exact wiring and construction could meet all the signal coverage demands. XingHe DanDi is a typical case of PDAS, it has following features:
1. Demands of 2G calling + 4G data signal of all signal providers.
2. Big coverage. If use coaxial cables, it would be hard to wire and construct, and it’s high loss, and bad performance.
