The Digital Optical Repeater (DOR) is an advanced in-building or outdoor signal coverage solution that converts RF signals to digital optical signals for transmission over fiber optics between a Master Unit (MU) and Remote Units (RUs). This system enables low-loss, long-distance distribution of cellular signals (2G to 5G) with high dynamic range, precise time delay management, and multi-band/multi-operator support.
- Optical-to-Electrical (O/E) Converter: Converts incoming optical signals to electrical signals
- Digital Signal Processor (DSP): Performs signal regeneration, error correction, clock recovery, and noise reduction
- Electrical-to-Optical (E/O) Converter: Re-transmits the regenerated digital signal as amplified optical pulses
