The system's linear topology is purpose-built for trackside deployment. A centrally located master unit connects to the donor base station, then distributes optical signals to remote units positioned at strategic intervals along the route. Each remote unit—housed in an IP65-rated enclosure—withstands the vibration, temperature extremes, and humidity typical of railway environments, while fiber's inherent immunity to electromagnetic interference ensures signal integrity even adjacent to high-voltage traction power systems.
